Mr Andrew Boye-Doe was called to the Bar in 1983 and his particular practice areas are Corporate, Commercial Law, Banking and Finance : Service and Regulatory, Capital Market, Project Finance, Oil and Gas, Corporate restructuring and Insolvency.

Mr Boye-Doe is an Associate Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies, London and was a Chevening Scholar and British Council Fellow at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies , Queen Mary and the Law Department, London School of Economics, University of London.

He had researched widely on legal and institutional reforms of Financial Markets and has either led or been part of teams conceptualising and implementing Financial Sector reforms in Ghana and outside Ghana.

Mr Boye-Doe was the Head of the Legal Department and General Counsel, Bank of Ghana and has been the Secretary of the Central Bank. He is a Non – Executive Director on the Board of Bank of Ghana. He has been a Non – Executive Director of the Financial Intelligence Center, Ghana and has held or holds directorships in Insurance and Capital Market companies.

Essentially a transactional lawyer, Mr Boye – Doe has had stints, internships and tours of Multilateral Institutions and International Law firms: Commonwealth Secretariat, London; Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen and Hamilton; Nixon, Devine and Doyle, New York; Curtis, Washington D.C. .The World Bank , Washington D.C, J . P Morgan and the New York Stock Exchange.

He has negotiated and executed  successful transactions with  international law firms and  International financial institutions .

Mr Boye-Doe had consulted for the International Finance Corporation and the Bank of Sierra Leone on secure transaction and foreign exchange market respectively. He has for several years led the Legal and

Institutional Issues Committee of the West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ) and had chaired the Committee of Experts of the WAMZ.

Mr Boye-Doe is a long standing Resource Person for the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime, Jesus College, Cambridge . He has been a guest lecturer at the Law Faculty, University of Ghana and the Ghana School of Law. He also lectured in Commercial and Company Law at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and in Negotiation Skills at the Ghana Institution of  Engineers.

Mr Boye-Doe has been the Chief Examiner and Moderator for Commercial Law, Technical Examinations Unit of the Ghana Education Service.

His career and experience spans legal practice, banking and finance, public policy, governance, legal and institutional reforms, cross border transactions and academia.
